A common thread that ran through the original release of "Love Valley" was that each song had guest female vocals on one word of each song. Michael wanted to flip the occurrence for the entirety of this rearranged record singing on those single words with a guest singing the full duration of the song as he normally would. Along with the vocals being changed over Michael wanted the cover art to follow suit so we got to talking and to my joy had total free reign with driving the visual concept for it.
I wanted to focus on some of the really beautiful moments that run through the record and capture them as a collection of meaningful objects (one for each song) steeped in the antiqued fabric of a quiet life on the farm (the setting the narrative of the record circles). A place where things that matter most don't fade so quickly away.
